About

My research interests centre on archaic and classical Greek mythology, its relationship to Greek religion and literature and its receptions in modern visual and literary media. I am currently turning my doctoral thesis into a monograph and developing an article on the interrelationship between sanctuaries and anodoi stemming from this work. I am furthering my explorations of Greek mythology in modern visual receptions through my participation in the international Imagines network, which will next meet in September 2012. Whilst I am furthering my explorations of Greek mythology and religion through my creation, with Dr Marta Garcia Morcillo, of the international and interdisciplinary Sacred Ways Network which explores the interrelations between ancient secular and sacred worlds with specific concentration on the economic sphere. The network’s next meeting will comprise an international conference in 2013.
