Thesis Title: Moving Heaven & Earth: Landscape, Death and Memory in the Aceramic Neolithic of Cyprus

About

My PhD research focused on the Epipalaeolithic and Aceramic Neolithic of Cyprus (completed 2006, published 2008). From 2006 -2008 I was Trinity College Carmarthen liaison officer, and lectured part-time at the University of Wales Lampeter.

Primary research interests are archaeological theory, phenomenological and existential approaches, death, the body, memory and mnemonics. My recent research has explored the relationships between the 'mundane' and the 'ideal', materiality, memory and the body (papers presented at TAG-NYC, May 2008); human/animal inter-relationships and 'significant others' (paper presented at TAG Southampton 2008, published with JMA 2009); negotiations with mortality (paper presented at BANEA 2008); and the earliest maritime communities of the eastern Mediterranean basin (paper presented at the University of Liverpool).
